How to do it
Set the TRX rings to a high position and grip a handle in each hand with arms extended and body leaned forward at an incline. Lower your chest between the rings, then press back up while fighting to keep the rings from drifting.
- 1The upper chest and triceps driving you back up the incline
- 2A straight line from head to heels with the core braced
- 3The shoulders working hard to keep the unstable rings steady
Common mistakes
- Letting the hips sag or pike toward the floor
- Allowing the rings to swing or drift apart
- Flaring the elbows wide; keep them at a moderate angle
Muscles worked
The ring incline push-up mainly works the upper chest and mid chest, with the triceps, forearms, lower chest, upper abs, lower abs, and front delts assisting.
