How to do it
Set the TRX handles just off the floor and place your hands in them, then prop your feet on a bench so your body angles down toward the handles. Lower your chest between the handles by bending your elbows, then press back up while keeping your body straight.
- 1Upper chest and shoulders driving the press from the decline
- 2Core staying tight to hold a straight line head to heels
- 3Chest stretching at the bottom before you press up strongly
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips sag or pike up
- Flaring your elbows too wide as you lower
- Letting the handles drift apart and lose control
Muscles worked
The ring decline push-up mainly works the lower chest and mid chest, with the triceps, upper chest, front delts, forearms, upper abs, and lower abs assisting.
