How to do it
Anchor a resistance band at elbow height and stand side-on to the anchor. Tuck your working elbow into your side at 90 degrees, hold the band across your body, and rotate your forearm outward away from your stomach, then control it back.
- 1Tension building in the back of the shoulder as you rotate out
- 2Your elbow pinned tight to your side the whole time
- 3A slow, controlled return rather than a snap back
Common mistakes
- Letting your elbow drift away from your ribs
- Twisting your whole torso instead of just the forearm
- Using a band so heavy you have to jerk it
Muscles worked
