How to do it
Anchor a resistance band at elbow height and stand sideways to it. Hold the band with the hand farthest from the anchor, elbow bent 90 degrees and tucked against your side. Keeping the elbow pinned, rotate your forearm outward away from your body against the band, then return with control. Switch arms after the set.
- 1The rotator cuff working as your forearm rotates outward
- 2Your elbow staying pinned to your side throughout
- 3A smooth, controlled return against the band tension
Common mistakes
- Letting the elbow drift away from your side
- Using a band so heavy you twist your whole body
- Rushing the reps instead of moving slowly for control
