How to do it
Lie on your back with knees bent, feet flat and hip-width, and a band looped around your thighs above the knees. Press through your heels and squeeze your glutes to lift your hips into a straight line, pushing your knees out against the band, then lower with control.
- 1Glutes contracting hard as you lift your hips
- 2Knees pressing out against the band the whole time
- 3Core engaged with ribs down so your hips do the work
Common mistakes
- Letting your knees cave inward against the band
- Arching your lower back or thrusting too high
- Pushing through your toes instead of your heels
Muscles worked
The resistance band glute bridge mainly works the glutes, with the lower back, upper abs, lower abs, hamstrings, and external rotators assisting.
