How to do it
Stand holding a medicine ball with feet shoulder-width apart. Lift the ball up and across to one side, then rotate hard through your torso and slam it down to the floor on the opposite side. Catch the rebound, reset, and repeat to the other side.
- 1Your obliques snapping the rotation across your body
- 2Hips and torso turning together to power the slam
- 3Lats pulling the ball down hard at the bottom
Common mistakes
- Twisting from your lower back instead of rotating your hips
- Keeping your feet locked flat; let them pivot with the turn
- Slamming with stiff, straight arms
