How to do it
Lie on your back with your knees bent and your head resting flat on the floor. Gently draw your chin down toward your throat, lengthening the back of your neck without lifting your head. Hold briefly, then release.
- 1Feel the deep muscles at the front of your neck switch on
- 2Sense the back of your neck lengthening along the floor
- 3Keep the motion small and precise
Common mistakes
- Don't lift your head off the floor; the chin moves, not the skull
- Avoid pushing hard; this is a light, controlled tuck
- Don't jut the chin forward or strain the jaw
