How to do it
Lie on your side on the floor with legs stacked and straight. Raise the top leg up toward the ceiling as far as comfortable, hold briefly, then lower it slowly. Complete your reps, then roll over and switch sides.
- 1Feel the stretch and work along the outer hip
- 2Lift the leg straight, leading with the heel
- 3Lower slowly to keep tension on the hip
Common mistakes
- Do not let the leg drift forward or back
- Avoid rolling the hips backward
- Do not swing the leg up with momentum
