How to do it
Sit in the leverage leg press machine and place one foot centered on the platform with your back flat against the seat. Press the platform away by extending your hip and knee, then lower it under control without letting your knee collapse. Finish your reps, then switch legs.

- 3Control the descent and keep tension in the leg throughout
- 4Press through your whole foot and keep your hips and lower back pinned to the seat
Common mistakes
- Don't lock out your knee hard at the top
- Avoid rotating your hip or letting your knee drift inward
- Don't use your hands or other leg to assist the press
