How to do it

Sit in a leg curl machine and set the pad against the back of one lower leg. Curl that heel toward your glute, squeezing the hamstring, then lower under control and repeat before switching legs.

  1. 1Feel the hamstring of the working leg contract as you curl the pad toward
  2. 2your glute
  3. 3Keep your hip pressed into the seat so the leg does the work
  4. 4Squeeze hard at the bottom, then control the return for a full stretch

Common mistakes

  • Do not lift your hip off the seat or twist to help the rep
  • Avoid swinging the weight or letting the pad slam back
  • Do not cut the range short; curl through the full motion
