How to do it
Sit in the leverage leg extension machine with the pad resting on your shins just above your ankles. Extend your knees to straighten your legs, squeezing your quads at the top, then lower under control.

- 3Slow, controlled lowering against the pad
Common mistakes
- Swinging or using momentum to throw the pad up
- Letting the weight drop fast on the way down
- Lifting your hips off the seat to cheat the rep
