How to do it
Sit in the lever leg curl machine with the pad behind your lower legs and the thigh pad locked over your quads. Curl the pad down toward your glutes, squeezing your hamstrings, then return to the start under control.
- 1Your hamstrings contracting as you curl the pad toward your glutes
- 2Your hips pressed into the seat and back against the pad
- 3A full stretch in the hamstrings on the controlled return
Common mistakes
- Do not jerk the weight or let the pad slam back up
- Avoid lifting your hips off the seat or arching back
- Do not use your calves or lower back to assist the curl
Muscles worked
