How to do it
Kneel at the leverage twist machine and brace your torso against the pads with your arms secured. Rotate your torso to drive the resistance around, keeping your hips square, then return under control.
- 1Feel your obliques generate the rotation as you twist the pad around
- 2Rotate through your mid-back while keeping your hips facing forward
- 3Control the return and keep constant tension through your core
Common mistakes
- Do not rotate your hips; keep your lower body stable
- Avoid whipping the weight; let your core drive the move
- Do not over-rotate past a comfortable range
