How to do it
Sit in a horizontal leverage leg press with one foot centered on the platform. Unlock the machine and lower the platform by bending your knee, then push through your whole foot to extend the leg, returning under control.
- 1Feel your quad and glute on the working leg driving the platform away
- 2Keep your lower back pressed into the seat and your knee tracking over your toes
- 3Press through your whole foot and control the return
Common mistakes
- Avoid locking out the knee hard or letting it cave inward
- Don't let your hips lift off the seat at the bottom
- Don't shorten the range just to add more weight
