How to do it

Sit in the horizontal leg press with your back against the pad and feet shoulder-width on the platform. Release the safety, bend your knees to bring the platform in, then drive through your heels to extend your legs and return under control.

  1. 1Feel your quads, glutes, and hamstrings push the platform away
  2. 2Keep your lower back against the pad and knees tracking over your toes
  3. 3Press through your whole foot and control the return

Common mistakes

  • Don't lock out your knees or let them cave inward
  • Avoid letting your hips lift off the seat
  • Don't cut the range short to add more weight
