How to do it
Sit in the horizontal leg press with your back against the pad and feet shoulder-width on the platform. Release the safety, bend your knees to bring the platform in, then drive through your heels to extend your legs and return under control.
- 1Feel your quads, glutes, and hamstrings push the platform away
- 2Keep your lower back against the pad and knees tracking over your toes
- 3Press through your whole foot and control the return
Common mistakes
- Don't lock out your knees or let them cave inward
- Avoid letting your hips lift off the seat
- Don't cut the range short to add more weight
