How to do it
Sit or stand in a pec deck or chest crossover leverage machine with the handles set wide and your arms out to the sides at chest height, a slight bend in your elbows. Drive the handles together in front of your chest in a wide arc, squeezing your pecs at the midpoint. Return under control to the wide stretched position and repeat.
- 1Chest squeezing as the handles come together in front of you
- 2A stretch across your pecs in the wide starting position
- 3Elbows holding a fixed slight bend through the arc
Common mistakes
- Pressing with your arms instead of squeezing with your chest
- Letting the handles snap back and lose tension
- Shrugging your shoulders up toward your ears
