How to do it

Set up in the abdominal leg-raise machine with a resistance band added to the lever for extra tension. Brace your core and curl your knees and hips up against the band-loaded arm, then lower slowly while keeping the band taut.

  1. 1Lower abs curling your hips up against the band tension
  2. 2Lower back staying pinned to the pad
  3. 3Band fighting you hardest at the top, so finish each rep

Common mistakes

  • Arching your back to fling the legs up
  • Letting the band snap your legs back down
  • Using momentum instead of the abs
