How to do it
Sit in the angled leg press with your back and hips against the pad and feet shoulder-width on the platform. Unlock the safety, lower the platform by bending your knees toward your chest, then push through your heels to extend your legs and return under control.
- 1Your quads, glutes, and hamstrings pushing the platform away
- 2Lower back pressed into the seat and knees tracking over toes
- 3An even press through the whole foot and a controlled return
Common mistakes
- Locking out the knees or letting them cave inward
- Letting your hips lift off the seat at the bottom
- Loading so heavy you cut the range of motion short
Muscles worked
The lever angled leg press mainly works the quads and glutes, with the hamstrings and calves assisting.
