How to do it
Sit or stand at the leverage machine with the pad set against your torso and grip the handles. Drive your trunk down and forward against the resistance by crunching your abs, then return to the start under control.
- 1Abs crunching to drive the lever down
- 2A hard squeeze through the midsection at the bottom
- 3Hips and lower back staying anchored to the seat
Common mistakes
- Pulling with the arms instead of the core
- Using momentum to swing through the rep
- Letting the back round sharply at the bottom
Muscles worked
