How to do it
Set your hands on the floor on either side of the landmine bar end or grip a barbell loaded in the landmine, in a push-up position. Lower your chest toward your hands until your elbows reach about 90 degrees, then press back up. Keep your body in a straight line throughout.
- 1Feel your chest, shoulders, and triceps drive the press
- 2Keep your core tight and hips level with your shoulders
- 3Press through full range and squeeze the chest at the top
Common mistakes
- Avoid letting your hips sag or your head crane forward
- Don't flare your elbows wide; keep them around 45 degrees
- Don't shorten the range; lower with control each rep
Muscles worked
The landmine push-up mainly works the mid chest, with the triceps, upper chest, lower chest, upper abs, and front delts assisting.
