How to do it
Sit on the edge of a sturdy chair and place your hands on the seat beside your hips. Press down through your hands to lift your hips off the seat, then extend your legs straight out in front so your body forms an L. Hold with your legs parallel to the floor.

Common mistakes
- Don't let your knees bend or your feet drop below hip level
- Avoid shrugging your shoulders up toward your ears
- Don't round your back; keep your chest tall and core tight
