How to do it
Stand on an elevated surface with the balls of your feet on the edge and your heels hanging off, holding a kettlebell in one hand for resistance. Raise your heels as high as possible, then lower them back down below the starting position for a full stretch.
- 1Stand with your heels hanging off and rise onto the balls of your feet;
- 2you should feel your calves contracting strongly
- 3Pause at the top to squeeze, then lower your heels below the platform to feel a stretch
- 4Hold the kettlebell steady and keep your balance with a light grip on support if needed
Common mistakes
- Don't bounce at the top or bottom of the movement
- Avoid letting your ankles roll inward or outward; keep them aligned
- Don't lean forward or lock your knees; stay tall and controlled
