How to do it
Lie on your back with one foot flat on the floor and the other leg extended, holding a kettlebell over your chest with both hands. Bridge your hips up by squeezing the glute of your planted leg while you lower the kettlebell back over your head, then reverse both at once to return.
- 1Drive through your planted heel and squeeze that glute to lift your hips
- 2Feel your lats and chest stretch as the kettlebell travels overhead, then pull it back over your chest
- 3Keep your core braced so your ribs and hips stay connected throughout
Common mistakes
- Do not let your hips sag or twist toward the extended-leg side
- Avoid arching your lower back as the kettlebell goes overhead
- Do not rush; coordinate the bridge and the pullover under control
