How to do it
Stand with feet shoulder-width and a kettlebell on the floor in front of you. Hinge at the hips, grip the bell with one hand, and hike it back between your legs, then snap your hips forward to drive it up to chest height. Let it swing back down and straight into the next rep, switching hands as needed.
- 1Feel the power come from a sharp snap of your hips and glutes
- 2Keep your core braced and let your arm act as a rope, not a lifter
- 3Tighten your grip and shoulder to control the bell's path
Common mistakes
- Do not squat the bell up; drive the movement from your hips
- Do not round your back at the bottom of the hinge
- Do not let the bell pull your shoulder out of its socket; keep it packed
