How to do it
Stand with a kettlebell between your feet, hips back and chest up. Explosively extend your hips and pull the bell up in one motion, punching your hand through so it settles on the back of your forearm overhead. Lock out, then guide the bell back down between your legs to repeat.
- 1Feel your hips and hamstrings drive the bell from the floor to overhead
- 2Punch your hand up through the bell to avoid banging your wrist
- 3Lock out your arm and stack the bell over your shoulder at the top
Common mistakes
- Avoid curling or muscling the bell up; drive it with your hips
- Don't round your back; keep the hinge sharp
- Avoid letting the bell flip over and crash onto your wrist
Muscles worked
