How to do it

Hop lightly on the balls of your feet, then step in place for a beat, then return to a light jump, blending small jumps with quick steps in a steady rhythm. Stay on the balls of your feet and keep your knees soft to absorb each contact.

  1. 1Your calves springing you up on each light jump
  2. 2A soft knee bend cushioning every landing and step
  3. 3A steady, even rhythm as you flow between jumping and stepping

Common mistakes

  • Do not land heavily or jump higher than you need to
  • Do not lock your knees on landing; keep them soft
  • Do not let the rhythm break; stay light and continuous
