How to do it
Lie chest-down on an incline bench with your hips at the top edge and your legs hanging down toward the floor. Grip the bench for support, then contract your glutes and hamstrings to raise your legs up behind you until they line up with your torso. Pause, then lower with control.
- 1Your glutes and hamstrings lifting your legs behind you
- 2A braced core, moving through the hips without swinging
- 3A squeeze at the top before lowering slowly
Common mistakes
- Arching or hyperextending your lower back at the top
- Swinging your legs up with momentum
- Letting your legs drop fast on the way down
