How to do it

Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat, then lift your hips into a glute bridge. Holding the bridge at the top, push your knees apart against your own tension, then bring them back together. Keep your hips high throughout.

  1. 1Your glutes working to hold the bridge and push your knees outward
  2. 2The outer glutes firing as you abduct the knees
  3. 3Your hips staying level and high, not dropping as your knees move

Common mistakes

  • Letting your hips sag down as you open the knees
  • Overarching your lower back to keep the bridge up
  • Rushing the abduction instead of controlling each rep
