How to do it
Lie on your back with knees bent and the soles of your feet or knees pressed against a wall. Drive your hips up into a glute bridge, then press your knees outward against a band or your own tension to abduct the hips. Return the knees together and lower under control.
- 1Feel your glutes squeeze to lift and hold the bridge
- 2Feel the outer glutes work as you press the knees apart
- 3Keep your hips level and high through each rep
Common mistakes
- Don't let your hips drop when you push the knees out
- Avoid arching your lower back; keep the ribs down
- Don't let the knees cave back in fast; control them
