How to do it

Stand tall with a soft bend in your knees and your weight on one leg. Tap the other foot out in front of you and quickly bring it back, then alternate sides in a light, rhythmic bounce. Stay on the balls of your feet and keep your core engaged throughout.

  1. 1A light, springy bounce through your calves and ankles
  2. 2Your core staying tight to keep the torso upright
  3. 3A steady, quick rhythm as you alternate feet

Common mistakes

  • Landing flat-footed or heavy on each tap
  • Letting your torso slump or lean back
  • Rushing so much that you lose your balance
