How to do it

Stand and rest the back of your upper arms against the top edge of a preacher bench, gripping an EZ bar with an underhand grip. Curl the bar up by contracting your biceps, then lower slowly to a near-full stretch while keeping your arms pinned to the pad.

  1. 1Feel an isolated contraction in your biceps as you curl
  2. 2Lower slowly to a stretch without losing tension
  3. 3Keep your upper arms pinned to the pad throughout

Common mistakes

  • Do not lift your elbows off the pad or swing the body
  • Avoid cutting the range short at the bottom
  • Do not over-bend the wrists; keep them neutral
