How to do it
Sit at the end of a bench with your feet wide and lean slightly forward. Hold an EZ bar with a close, palms-up grip and brace your elbows against the inside of your thighs. Curl the bar up toward your chest, squeeze, then lower slowly.
- 1Feel a deep biceps contraction with the elbows braced against your thighs
- 2Use the close angled grip to keep tension on the inner biceps
- 3Squeeze hard at the top and lower under full control
Common mistakes
- Do not let your elbows slide off your thighs to cheat
- Avoid jerking your torso upright to help the lift
- Do not bounce out of the bottom; control the stretch
