How to do it
Hold an EZ bar with an underhand grip at thigh level. Curl the bar up while dragging it along your torso, letting your elbows slide back behind your body so the bar stays close. Squeeze the biceps at the top, then lower the bar slowly.
- 1Feel the biceps load hard as you drag the bar up your stomach
- 2Drive your elbows back behind you instead of forward
- 3Control the bar on the descent and feel the stretch at the bottom
Common mistakes
- Don't swing the bar away from your body
- Avoid heaving with your lower back or leaning back
- Don't let the elbows flare forward and turn it into a standard curl
