How to do it

Sit on the floor with both knees bent at 90 degrees, one shin in front and one out to the side. Keeping your chest tall, rotate both knees across to the other side so the positions swap, then twist back. Flow side to side to open up the hips.

  1. 1A rotation and stretch deep in your hip sockets as the knees swap sides
  2. 2Your spine staying tall rather than collapsing
  3. 3Your inner thigh and outer hip opening on each side

Common mistakes

  • Rounding your back to drop the knees over
  • Forcing the range past a comfortable stretch
  • Rushing instead of controlling each rotation

Muscles worked
