How to do it
Lie on your back with knees bent and a dumbbell in each hand at chest level. Drive through your heels to lift your hips into a glute bridge and hold it there, then press the dumbbells straight up and lower them under control while keeping your hips raised.
- 1Chest and triceps pressing the dumbbells up while hips stay lifted
- 2Glutes working to hold the bridge throughout the set
- 3Core braced to keep your hips level as you press
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips drop between presses
- Flaring your elbows straight out to the sides
- Arching your lower back instead of squeezing your glutes
