How to do it
Hold a forearm or high plank with a light dumbbell beside one hand. Raise the opposite arm and leg at the same time, keeping your hips level and your body in a straight line, then lower them and alternate sides.
- 1Your core and obliques bracing to stay square on two points of contact
- 2Glutes and hamstrings engaging as the leg lifts
- 3A steady, balanced torso with no sag or twist
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips rotate or drop when limbs lift
- Arching your lower back as the leg rises
- Rushing the reps instead of finding balance
