How to do it

Stand facing a wall and place your hands on it close together so your index fingers and thumbs form a diamond. Bend your elbows to bring your chest toward the wall, then press back to the start. Step your feet farther back to make it harder.

  1. 1Triceps working to press you away from the wall with hands in a diamond
  2. 2Elbows tracking close to your body, not flaring wide
  3. 3Core tight so your body stays in one straight line

Common mistakes

  • Letting your elbows splay out to the sides
  • Sagging your hips or piking them up at the wall
  • Shrugging your shoulders toward your ears as you press
