How to do it

Stand facing a wall and place both hands on it at shoulder height. Step one foot back and press the ball of that foot into the base of the wall, then lean your weight forward to push into the stretch through your calf and Achilles. Hold and breathe, then switch sides.

  1. 1Feel a stretch along your calf and Achilles as you push forward
  2. 2Keep the back knee straight for the upper calf, slightly bent for the lower calf
  3. 3Let the tension ease gradually as you hold

Common mistakes

  • Do not bounce or force the foot harder into the wall
