How to do it
Stand facing a cable set to about waist height and grasp the handle with your palm down. Row the handle toward your hip while rotating your wrist so your palm faces up at the finish, squeezing your shoulder blade in. Reverse the rotation as you extend the arm back to the start, then switch sides.
- 1Feel your lat and mid-back pull the handle toward your hip
- 2Rotate your palm up as you finish to peak the squeeze
- 3Keep your core braced and torso facing forward
Common mistakes
- Do not twist your whole torso to move the weight
- Avoid shrugging your shoulder up toward your ear
- Do not rush the rotation; keep it smooth with the row
