How to do it

Sit at a cable pulldown station with your thighs under the pads and grip the MAG handle overhead with a wide grip. Pull the bar down to your upper chest by driving your elbows down and back, then return under control to a full overhead stretch.

  1. 1A strong lat stretch at the top and squeeze at the bottom
  2. 2Your elbows driving down and back to lead the pull
  3. 3Your shoulders staying down rather than shrugging up

Common mistakes

  • Leaning way back to heave the bar down
  • Shrugging your shoulders toward your ears
  • Letting the bar fly back up instead of controlling it
