How to do it
Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat, then press through your heels to lift your hips into a bridge. Holding the bridge height, step your feet out and in or walk them small distances while keeping your hips level and glutes squeezed. Lower under control when done.
- 1Your glutes holding the bridge as your feet move
- 2Your core bracing to keep hips level and steady
- 3Hamstrings supporting the held position
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips drop as you walk your feet
- Arching your lower back instead of squeezing your glutes
- Pushing through your toes rather than your heels
Muscles worked
The bridge walk mainly works the glutes, with the hamstrings, lower back, lower abs, and obliques assisting.
