How to do it

Anchor a resistance band low behind you and lie back holding the ends with arms extended over your chest. Keeping your upper arms still, bend your elbows to lower your hands toward your forehead, then extend back to the start against the band tension.

  1. 1Feel your triceps stretch and contract as you bend and extend your elbows
  2. 2Keep your upper arms still and pointing up throughout
  3. 3Maintain band tension at the top of the lockout

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your elbows flare out wide
  • Avoid moving your upper arms to lift the band
  • Don't let the band yank your hands toward your face; control the lowering
