How to do it
Sit on a bench with a resistance band anchored to the side at knee height and looped around the ankle of your outside leg, knee bent. Keeping your thigh still, rotate your lower leg outward to swing your foot away from your body against the band, which drives your hip into internal rotation. Return slowly and switch sides after your reps.
- 1The inner hip rotators working as your shin swings outward
- 2A fixed thigh with movement coming from the hip joint
- 3A slow, controlled return against the band tension
Common mistakes
- Letting your thigh roll or your whole leg swing
- Rushing the motion instead of controlling each rep
- Loading the band so heavy you twist your torso to help
