How to do it
Anchor a resistance band behind your head and lie on your back gripping the handle with an underhand, palms-up grip. Keeping your upper arms vertical and elbows still, extend your arms to press the band away over your chest, then bend at the elbows to lower it toward your forehead under control.
- 1A deep tricep stretch as the band lowers toward your forehead
- 2A hard squeeze on the back of your arms at full extension
- 3Your upper arms staying fixed and vertical the whole time
Common mistakes
- Letting your elbows flare out or drift back toward your head
- Moving your upper arms instead of hinging only at the elbows
- Letting the band pull your hands down too fast at the bottom
