How to do it
Set up in an assisted leverage leg press with one foot centered on the platform and the assist set to share part of the load. Press the platform away by extending your hip and knee, then lower it back under control. Complete your reps, then switch legs.
- 1Your quad and glute on the working leg driving the platform away
- 2Steady control on the descent with tension held in the leg
- 3Your hips and lower back pressed firmly into the seat
Common mistakes
- Locking your knee hard at the top
- Letting your knee drift inward or your hip rotate
- Pushing with your hands or the non-working leg to assist
