How to do it

Kneel and sit your hips back toward your heels, then fold your torso forward and rest it down, letting your arms extend out in front or relax by your sides. Let your forehead settle toward the floor and breathe slowly, releasing tension through your back and hips. Hold the rested position and let your body soften with each breath.

  1. 1A gentle stretch through your lower back and hips
  2. 2Your breath slowing as your body relaxes into the floor
  3. 3Tension releasing from your shoulders and spine

Common mistakes

  • Forcing the stretch or pushing into pain
  • Holding your breath instead of breathing slowly
  • Tensing your shoulders up toward your ears
