How to do it
Stand tall and step one foot forward while swinging your opposite arm forward and the same-side arm back, mimicking a marching motion. Bring the foot back to center, then alternate legs in a steady rhythm. Keep your posture upright and your core braced as you move.
- 1Your hip flexors and quads lifting each forward step
- 2A natural cross-body arm swing driving the rhythm
- 3Your core keeping the torso tall and steady
Common mistakes
- Slumping forward as you step
- Letting the arm swing turn into a sloppy flail
- Rushing the pace and losing coordination
Muscles worked
