How to do it

Stand with a wide stance and shift your weight forward over one leg, bending that knee while keeping the trailing leg straight. Keep your hips facing forward as you sink down until you feel a stretch along the inner thigh of the straight leg. Hold, then switch sides.

  1. 1Feel the stretch run along the inner thigh of the straight leg
  2. 2Keep your hips square and facing forward
  3. 3Sink slowly and breathe to let the inner thigh release

Common mistakes

  • Do not let the bent knee travel past your toes
  • Avoid bouncing into the stretch
  • Do not round your back as you lean forward
