What happens if I leave a duel?

It depends how far the duel got.

• Nobody has joined yet: backing out calls the whole thing off, and nothing is lost.
• The duel has started: leaving is a forfeit. Your score goes with you, and if one person is left, they win it.

A forfeit takes you out of the running, however far ahead you were.

Anyone can leave, including the person who started the duel.

A wager you already paid stays in the pot. Leaving does not give your gems back.
