How to do it
Set up in a full push-up position but support yourself on your fists or fingertips instead of flat palms, wrists kept straight and stacked. Lower your chest toward the floor with elbows around 45 degrees, then press back up. Keep your core tight and body in a straight line while the wrists and forearms stabilize the load.
- 1Feel your chest, shoulders, and triceps drive the press
- 2Keep your wrists straight and forearms braced on your fists
- 3Hold a tight line from head to heels throughout
Common mistakes
- Avoid letting your hips sag or your head crane forward
- Do not flare your elbows wide; keep them near 45 degrees
- Avoid letting the wrists buckle; keep them stacked and firm
Muscles worked
The wrist full push-up mainly works the mid chest, with the triceps, forearms, upper chest, lower chest, upper abs, and front delts assisting.
